The Avalanche Of New Obamacare Rules Will Come In January, 2013
When Congress wrote 2,700 pages of legislation to create ObamaCare, that was only the starting point in the government's re-engineering of our health sector. Tens of thousands of pages of regulation or more are needed to provide detailed guidance dictating exactly how its maze of new programs must operate.
But deadlines are looming for ObamaCare for programs that are required to begin in 2014. And the administration is significantly behind schedule, with insiders speculating the White House is waiting until after the election to issue an avalanche of rules, many of which are sure to be controversial.

NSA: We Will Illegally Spy on Citizens Only When Absolutely Necessary
The National Security Agency (NSA) says Americans should trust them to use their surveillance powers only for good. This from the group whose leader refused to say how many Americans they are spying on because it was “beyond the capacity of his office and dedicating sufficient additional resources would likely impede the NSA’s mission.”
In other words, the NSA is too busy illegally recording our private emails, texts, Facebook posts, and phone calls to figure out how many of us are already caught in their net. And, furthermore, there is nothing Congress can do about it.
Apparently, NSA thinks it’s beyond the court’s oversight, as well.

Prison May Be the Next Stop on a Gold Currency Journey
Described by some as “the Rosa Parks of the constitutional currency movement,” Mr. von NotHaus managed over the last decade to get more than 60 million real dollars’ worth of his precious metal-backed currency into circulation across the country — so much, and with such deep penetration, that the prosecutor overseeing his case accused him of “domestic terrorism” for using them to undermine the government.
Of course, if you ask him what caused him to be living here in exile, waiting with the rabbits for his sentence to be rendered, he will give a different account of what occurred.
“This is the United States government,” he said in an interview last week. “It’s got all the guns, all the surveillance, all the tanks, it has nuclear weapons, and it’s worried about some ex-surfer guy making his own money? Give me a break!”

Ask any citizen, and they’ll likely give the opposite answer.
With that in mind, we’re re-introducing a web-based embeddable widget — for anybody to use — that lists the top 10 donors and their contributions to any member of the House and Senate, their opponents, and the presidential candidates. Army to Congress: Thanks, but no tanks
“When a relatively conservative institution like the U.S. military, which doesn’t like to take risks because risks get people killed, says it has enough tanks, I think generally civilians should be inclined to believe them,” said Travis Sharp a fellow at the defense think tank, New American Security.
But guess which group of civilians isn’t inclined to agree with the generals on this point?
Congress.

Rand Paul: Mitt Romney Foreign Policy Speech Left Me 'A Bit Dismayed'
;A Tea Party Republican known for his libertarian bent, Paul stated that he would not support any call for an American intervention in Syria. He criticized Romney’s approach as one that has not taken into account the complexities of the situation on the ground.
In his column, Paul criticized an “act first, think later” approach to foreign policy that has involved the United States in long and messy campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan — costing trillions of dollars and “tens of thousands of casualties in the loss of the lives and limbs of our soldiers.”

Government Dependency Will End in Chaos
Government does not create resources when it taxes people and prints money; it merely redistributes the wealth, while supporting a massive, wasteful bureaucracy along the way. Government is a giant, blood-sucking parasite on our otherwise healthy economy. For too long we have entrusted too much economic power and influence to irresponsible politicians in Washington. It’s the chaos that ensues after they run the system into the ground that will be so painful for so many people. But realigning our economy with the free market and away from government mandates and handouts must happen in order for it to thrive again.
The answer is not to keep asking government to do more. The answer is to extricate our economy and ourselves from the grasp of Washington DC as much as possible now, before our dependency becomes our downfall.

Plant that got $150M in taxpayer money to make Volt batteries furloughs workers
“Considering the lack of demand for electric vehicles, despite billions of dollars from the Obama administration that were supposed to stimulate it, it’s not surprising what has happened with LG Chem. Just because a ton of money is poured into a product does not mean that people will buy it,” Paul Chesser, an associate fellow with the National Legal and Policy Center, told FoxNews.com.
The 650,000-square-foot, $300 million facility was slated to produce 15,000 batteries per year, while creating hundreds of new jobs. But to date, only 200 workers are employed at the plant by by the South Korean company. Batteries for the Chevy Volts that have been produced have been made by an LG plant in South Korea.

Romney-Obama debate as competitive as professional wrestling
When Romney (or most politicians) refer to cuts, what they usually mean is that they are not going to increase spending as quickly. Spending, the debt and most likely the deficit will all continue to grow under Romney just as they will under Obama. Whatever net spending differences there actually are are so insignificant as to not be worth talking about.
16 Critical Economic Issues That Obama And Romney Avoided During The Debate
Perhaps the biggest failure on Wednesday night was debate moderator Jim Lehrer of PBS. His questions were about as far from “hard hitting” as you could get.
The hour and a half debate was almost entirely about the economy, and yet almost all of the critical economic issues were ignored.
Yes, Obama and Romney have slight differences when it comes to tax rates and regulations, but those small differences are not going to do much to change the direction of this country one way or another.

Election 2012: A failure and a disappointment
In his lust to build a new world order in the Middle East, a goal for which he roundly criticized President George W. Bush, Mr. Obama has unilaterally, unconstitutionally and unlawfully killed Americans there. He killed Osama bin Laden when he could have captured him, and he let a mob kill our ambassador to Libya when he could have protected him — all to justify a value-free foreign policy that has no lasting friends or enemies, just fleeting interests. He has killed thousands in foreign lands in secret, using drones that will soon find their way here and come back to haunt him.
Perhaps the next month will prove me wrong on Mr. Romney, but so far he is putting the electorate to sleep. I believe him when he claims to favor free market approaches to the nation’s economic ills, but I don’t believe him when he rails against big government and central economic planning, because his record belies his words. He is, of course, the father of the individual mandate — a totalitarian giant leap forward for the welfare state. He has stated that if elected and re-elected, he will borrow money every year he is in office until the last.

Not QUITE as bad as it sounds but still, if the court is going to say it is ok to detain someone for using large bills, even if only temporarily, then better notification should be given to drivers that this is the case. Currently it doesn't matter since they apparently stopped this procedure in 2010.
Obama to Issue Disastrous "Cybersecurity" Executive Order
The American people stopped Congress from passing disastrous so-called cybersecurity bills that would infringe on the free speech and privacy of internet users. Nothing short of amazing happened when Congress tried to ram through CISPA, SOPA, and PIPA. The defeat of these bills showed the power of grassroots activism as countless activists rose up and took action by calling their congressmen and spreading the word on social media.
Senator Joe Lieberman hasn’t been pleased.
Lieberman was the lead co-sponsor of the Cybersecurity Act of 2012 that failed to muster up the 60 votes it needed to overcome a filibuster in the Senate.
Now, according to the Daily Caller, Lieberman is pushing Obama to issue a cybersecurity executive order identical to the Cybersecurity Act of 2012:
