The One (November 1989): The One was a gaming magazine that was published in the U.K. It covered various systems over the year but it was primarily a 16-bit computer games magazine. In 1989 it was mostly covering the Amiga, Atari ST and PC. The November 1989 issue includes:

Digital Archaeology: Gateway MX6426 | PeakD: The Gateway MX6426 has an interesting dichotomy of features. It has a Turion 64 processor which is among the earliest 64-bit laptop processors. It competed with the Pentium M early in it life and later on with the Core and Core 2 processors. It was quite a bit faster than even the fastest Pentium M processors and competed favorably in terms of price.

Amstrad Computer User (January 1990) | PeakD: While the Amstrad CPC was virtually unheard of in the U.S., it was a popular computer in the U.K. from the mid 1980s into the early 1990s. While there were several variants, they were all based on a 4 MHz Z80 processor and most commonly had 64KB to 12KB of RAM and a built-in cassette or 3-inch disk drive. Amstrad Computer User was one of the magazines dedicated to these machines. The January 1990 issue includes:

PC World was without a doubt one of the most popular PC magazines of the 1990s. There were still magazines for other types of computers around but they were fading away by the early 1990s.
